CHAPTER XXX: THE PLOT THICKENS, LIKE STEW

The nurses were getting Raymond ready to be moved and shared that that was it for Today. Hmm.

Derek said that since there was nothing more to do here for now that maybe we should just all go home and we agreed, and so we did.

"HOME, Home where the murders happen," this from Rico.

"SHUT UP," I hollered in his ear.
He laughed and so did I, and he was right of course...BUT...

We tried to regroup once we got back to the house...but every minute seemed to only bring more questions than answers. We had a skeleton of an idea of what had motivated the murders but not by whom or even how. Jake decided to call Sheriff Andy and share what we now knew and he did and they talked but at the end of the day that was about it.

THEN, the phone rang JUST as the doorbell did.

I always hate when that happens. That having to choose thing...
